Columnist Proposes Major Trade That Would See Elias Pettersson Land in Montreal
As we reported in recent hours, there is a real possibility that star forward Elias Pettersson could be traded by the Canucks. This is obviously an option that Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton must consider, as he could become the Artemi Panarin of the Montreal Canadiens.
We're talking about a forward capable of scoring 100 points per season, which is truly electrifying offensively.
Jack Eichel was traded a few years ago, and it seems like Pettersson could be the next star forward to face the same fate, notably due to his complicated relationship with his teammate J.T. Miller in Vancouver.
In short, you know the details.
Knowing all this and knowing that the Montreal Canadiens have the assets necessary to put together a very interesting offer for the Vancouver Canucks, a concrete proposal has just been raised.
Proposal of a concrete trade offer between the Canadiens and the Canucks involving Elias Pettersson
In his recent article on DansLesCoulisses, Michaël Petit mentions this:
«Having the opportunity to have Pettersson and Suzuki as your center line, it's worth a try.
It's difficult to assess the possible return the Canucks could get for Pettersson. [...]
Personally (and don't throw rocks at me for this 100% fictional proposal), the Habs should offer an established player, and Kirby Dach automatically comes to mind.
To that, I would add the Habs' unprotected first-round pick to give it very interesting value and possibly a prospect or two, if necessary.» - DLC Considering this, and taking into account the Jack Eichel trade (which worked out very well for the Vegas Golden Knights), would you make the following trade?
It's a simple proposal, but it's certainly a file that Kent Hughes should probably explore.
