In anticipation of the long summer season, the general manager of the Habs has reportedly placed Christian Dvorak and Joel Armia on the market.
In Dvorak's case, it is obviously not surprising, but the inclusion of Armia's name has surprised many, particularly because he represents a good story and finished the season so well.
In the case of D-Vo, one probably shouldn't expect to receive much in return, even though Kent Hughes has worked magic in the past, but regarding Armia, I hope the Canadiens won't trade him so easily.
If an excellent offer comes along, why not? But otherwise, he can still help the team in my opinion.
Christian Dvorak, 28 years old, is a 6-foot-1, 192-pound forward who was drafted in the 2nd round in 2014. He scored 9 points in 30 games last season and earns $4.45 million per year until 2025.
Joel Armia, 31 years old, is a 6-foot-3, 216-pound forward who was drafted in the 1st round in 2011 (16th overall pick).
He scored 25 points, including 17 goals, in 66 games last season and earns $3.4 million per year until 2025. Incidentally, he was the Canadiens' fourth-highest goal scorer in 2023-2024.
