Surprising Announcement Concerning Logan Cooley Causes a Stir in Montreal
A few weeks ago, it was announced that the young forward, Logan Cooley, would not be signing with the Arizona Coyotes this year and surprisingly would be returning to the NCAA.
Various speculations started to surface afterward.
The announcement was made in May:
"Logan Cooley, Hobey Baker finalist, will return for his second season with the Gophers."
Some even believed he might potentially refuse to sign with Arizona.
Finally, a plot twist. Cooley is reportedly on the verge of signing with the Coyotes and breaking his agreement with the Gophers signed in May.
Elliotte Friedman confirms the news:
Wow. Cooley, 19 years old, scored 60 points in 39 games last season in the NCAA.
As you can imagine, this is generating a lot of buzz, and Montreal Canadiens' fans are eager to see if Cooley will outperform Juraj Slafkovsky or not.
Cooley was drafted 3rd overall in 2022.
Slafkovsky was drafted 1st overall in 2022.
