We have the answer to our question, as journalist Renaud Lavoie has just confirmed a change in goal for the Montreal Canadiens. Despite the solid performance by young Jakub Dobes on Saturday, Martin St-Louis is making a change, and Samuel Montembeault will be back in net for his team tonight.

See the official confirmation from the journalist, who announces that it is indeed Montembeault replacing Dobes and taking the crease tonight.

Samuel Montembeault starts in goal against the Buffalo Sabres tonight

The Habs will be looking for their fifth consecutive victory, starting at 7:00 PM, live from the Bell Centre.

This past Saturday, Dobes stopped 23 of 25 shots in a 4-2 win for his team. He now has a record of 6 wins, 2 losses, and 1 overtime loss, with a goals-against average of 2.63 and a save percentage of .909.

Meanwhile, Samuel Montembeault has a record of 21-21-3, a goals-against average of 2.90, and a save percentage of .899.

It is also worth noting that forward Josh Anderson was absent from this morning's practice, but all indications suggest he will be in the lineup for the second consecutive matchup against the Sabres.

In a press conference, head coach Martin St-Louis mentioned that the Canadiens already consider themselves to be playing playoff games, so the intensity is expected to be at its peak tonight.

More details to follow.
