As you most likely already know, things aren't going well for Jonathan Huberdeau in Calgary.

Having been a 115-point player just two years ago, he has fallen off a cliff, with 55 last season and possibly even less this year.

Up until this point in the year, he has 6 points in 12 games.

His play is worsening faster than anybody could expect, and we truly don't know what's going on.

Many thought that Huberdeau's struggles came from former head coach Darryl Sutter, but he is playing even worse under new head coach Ryan Huska. Huska put him in his place yesterday.

Huberdeau Benched for the Entire Third Period

After another tough game, head coach Huska made sure Huberdeau got the message. He was benched for the entire third period, a shocking move for the teams' highest-paid player.

This is especially worrying considering that Huberdeau is under contract for another 8 years at an average annual value of $10.5-million.

Ouch.

With Huberdeau having been linked to the Canadiens for years, it looks like Kent Hughes dodged a serious bullet by not going after the former superstar.
