Major: Chris Johnston has just dropped major information regarding the future of Corey Perry in the NHL
Corey Perry's name has certainly been the talk of the town in the hockey world this week, and there's more news this Saturday.
It concerns his future in hockey.
While many have recently stated that his career is over, not so fast!
The renowned Chris Johnston of TSN believes that a return to the NHL for Perry should not be ruled out. And considering he is 38 years old, it would have to be soon.
This is what he just revealed.
Johnston explains that several NHL teams are currently seeking more information to better understand the circumstances surrounding his departure from Chicago.
Teams are already doing their homework and showing interest in Perry.
These teams aim to determine if they are comfortable signing him and offering him a new opportunity.
"According to my information, there may still be a path to the NHL for Perry." - CJ
Interesting! Note that if Perry wants a chance to participate in the 2024 playoffs, he would need to sign before March 8th.
Remember, Perry was doing well on the ice this season, and he seems absolutely still capable of making a significant contribution to a team.
So, a story to follow, but encouraging news for those who hope to see Perry back in the NHL.
This is especially true for many fans of the Montreal Canadiens.
