»I know exactly what happened. I'm going to be very careful with what I say because I don't want to get sued. It has nothing to do with Connor Bedard or his mother. I can confirm that. The only thing I can say on air is that I understand why the Blackhawks had to make this decision and any other NHL team would have done exactly the same thing. The reason why I can't say what happened is that I could be sued for defamation but many media outlets and journalists also know exactly what happened."
