Scary Scene During the Leafs Game: Referees Stop Everything and Paramedics are Urgently Called
We witnessed a scary and extremely rare scene in the last seconds of the game between the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Columbus Blue Jackets, live from Columbus.
In the middle of the game, the referees stopped everything because the Jackets urgently requested that paramedics rush to their players' bench.
See the sequence:
The player in distress is Sean Kuraly, and the concern is palpable on the faces of the Columbus players.
Kuraly seemed to take a hit behind the Leafs' net, and he immediately clutched his stomach. Obviously, they quickly realized that something was very wrong.
Our thoughts are with Kuraly and his loved ones. Hoping sincerely that it is not too serious.
Note that the referees ended the period, to allow everyone to regain their composure.
