Johnny Gaudreau's wife, Meredith Gaudreau, has just made a very emotional public statement.

Immediately after learning of the terrible tragedy that occurred last Friday, one of the people we thought of right away was Johnny Gaudreau's wife and their children.

Meredith Gaudreau has never been particularly active on social media, but she has been trying to be in recent days in order to honor the love of her life.

This post is especially meaningful because she made it to mark their third wedding anniversary.

»I never post this much but John deserves it. 3 years ago today I became yours forever. One of the best days of my life, including the night we got engaged and the days we brought our babies into the world. The day I met you I remember saying to myself, omg I'm going to marry him. And every day after that kept getting better and better. I love you forever John and I am so proud to be your wife.»

It's beautiful and incredibly brave, as it must be extremely difficult for her to write under the current circumstances.
