The Buffalo Sabres announced that they have placed their new goalie Aaron Dell on waivers and sent their young goalie Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to Rochester in the AHL.

So it's official, the Sabres will start the season with good old Craig Anderson and Dustin Tokarski... Yes, you read that right. The same Tokarski who came in as a backup to Carey Price during the 2014 playoffs, after getting roughed up by Chris Kreider.

The former Tricolore goalie had a great training camp in Buffalo, which earned him a spot with the Sabres. He allowed only two shorthanded goals in the three and a half games he played in.

He played 13 games in Buffalo last year, picking up two wins in the process. That may not sound like much, but considering he plays in Buffalo, it's something to consider.

So, if I understand correctly, the Sabres are about to play a campaign with a 40-year-old goalie in Craig Anderson and a goalie out of mothballs in Dustin Tokarski. It's too early to tell, but the Sabres will likely have another disastrous season. Tokarski may have earned himself a spot, but is that really a promotion? It's going to be a long season... Very long 😬 In other words, I'd say the Sabres organization will send him to the slaughterhouse.

Rest assured, Sabres fans, Shane Wright would be excellent compensation for all the misery experienced.
