Dominique Ducharme confirmed what we could see coming from miles away, Carey Price is really not doing well right now. The number 31 is currently fighting a virus unrelated to COVID-19, which keeps him away from the team, in addition to living a convalescence, due to a knee surgery.
According to the head coach, he will not be able to practice with his teammates until at least the beginning of the season. The arrival of Samuel Montembeault was therefore not insignificant.
Joel Edmundson will be out for two to three weeks after undergoing several tests.
With the injury of Jeff Petry's regular partner, we can see an opportunity for Kaiden Guhle. Could he start the season in Montreal? It is quite possible according to Ducharme. However, he is trying to stick to the plan of returning him to the Prince Albert Raiders.
As for Cedric Paquette, Dominique Ducharme is confident that he will be ready for the start of the season. He skated for the first time today following a nasty groin injury.
