Angela Price delivered a powerful message of support for her Carey on Instagram
This morning, a real bombshell blew up in the hockey world, as Carey Price made the decision to leave the Montreal Canadiens indefinitely, in order to take care of himself. Price has asked for the NHL's Player Assistance Program's help to support him.
Angela, his wife, offered a beautiful message of support to her husband via Instagram to show him how proud she was of him.
"Part of the privilege of being in the position our family is in is that we also have a platform to show how there is and can be a path to the light for anyone struggling. No matter what is at stake, we hope to communicate the importance of putting one's mental health first, not by simply saying it, but by showing it and doing the work necessary to get better. Carey has decided to help himself and our family, which is the best possible decision for us. I will continue to be brave for him and our children and seek the support I may need at any time. And it is incredibly important for us to show our children that asking for help and allowing ourselves to be supported by others is not only acceptable, but encouraged, at all times and in all circumstances."
