Carey Price is on the NHL's assistance program. He will be away from the team for an indefinite period of time and he is participating in this assistance program voluntarily.
Some will say that Carey Price has 10 million good reasons for not suffering from a mental illness or something similar... But these people forget that the salary has absolutely NOTHING to do with it. Seeing that the disease in question relies on the salary to imprison a human.
The organization hid it all, we can understand in a way, but at the same time, few people really believed that he was suffering from flu or a stomach flu. It's still a very sad situation for the family, who will stay away from the media during Carey's break.
After Jonathan Drouin, it's Carey who needs a break, and this is a very courageous decision from number 31.
In the end, the addition of Samuel Montembeault makes official what most experts have been saying: Carey Price will be out longer than we think.
