Arber Xhekaj just made a big move, and it's causing a lot of buzz
Despite his surprisingly successful career in the NHL, Arber Xhekaj remains a down-to-earth person. He acknowledges the help he received during his youth and is not hesitant to express gratitude to those who made sacrifices for his happiness.
In a report aired by Sportsnet this winter, it was revealed that he didn't spend his first NHL paycheck on indulging himself, but rather on spoiling his parents. He bought them brand new appliances from Costco. Knowing they wouldn't accept a large sum of money, he took matters into his own hands and found a way to thank them while treating them.
Family members were not the only ones who greatly assisted and inspired the young defenseman of the CH. It appears that a teacher he had in his youth played a significant role in his development.
A Big Gesture from Xhekaj
To show his appreciation, Arber sent her quite a gift - an autographed hockey stick with a beautiful note inscribed on the blade:
"To Mrs. Verma, I wanted to thank you for always bringing positive energy to your students. You are a truly special person who genuinely cares about each of your students and that's what I love about you. You are the best teacher ever! Love. - Arber"
It's another wonderful gesture that shows he is a man with a big heart and strong family values.
