The Montreal Canadiens organization showed great class again today by letting Ben Chiarot use the CH facilities, even though he now belongs to a new organization.
For the second time in 24 hours, Chiarot skated with a surprise guest: Martin St-Louis' young son, Mason, who continues to make people jealous in Brossard. Chiarot really loves Montreal anyway.
Remember that he will be an independent player and free as a bird this summer.
Ben Chiarot still hasn't played a single game with the Panthers because of his work visa. He is still training at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard. There is absolutely no obligation for the Canadiens to allow him to use their facilities, but they do.
It's rare that we see that, I like it! He deserves it. Small difference between yesterday and today: he seems to have finally received his equipment from the Florida Panthers:
Chiarot will play his first game with the Panthers this Thursday, against the... Montreal Canadiens! It's promising.
Remember that last Wednesday, Chiarot went from the CH to Florida, via transaction.
(Re)see the complete trade :
To the Panthers: Ben Chiarot
To the Habs: 2023 first round pick, 2022 fourth round pick, prospect Ty Smilanic
Note also that MTL is withholding half of Chiarot's salary, through the end of this season.
