According to what was reported by RDS reporter François Gagnon, Habs executive vice-president of hockey operations Jeff Gorton has a list of ten candidates for the general manager position.
"But it's safe to assume that Habs owner, major financial partner and associate governor Michael Andlauer, new VP of hockey operations Jeff Gorton and Bob Gainey - who Geoff Molson has invited to be a senior advisor - will be interviewing candidates such as Habs alumni Patrick Roy, Mathieu Darche, Daniel Briere, Marc Denis, as well as agent Kent Hughes, a native Montrealer who has been in the Boston area for years. Head coach Danielle Sauvageau and agent Émilie Castonguay could also be met."
As reported earlier, Stéphane Quintal could be highly considered as well.
The rest of the list has not been revealed, but there is no doubt that other names will surface very soon. Interviews are expected to begin in January.
