Joel Edmundson to be traded eventually? There's some news from Eric Engels

In the past few weeks, especially since Mike Matheson's return to action, which has resulted in a surplus of defensemen for the Montreal Canadiens, trade rumors involving Joel Edmundson have surfaced.
At least, many analysts have begun to wonder if Edmundson could be the next Ben Chiarot for Kent Hughes (a veteran traded at a high price who will go a long way to helping a contending team).
Also, trading Edmundson would allow Martin St. Louis to give more minutes to youngsters like Arber Xhekaj, Jordan Harris, Johnathan Kovacevic, and even Justin Barron.
Today, the excellent reporter Eric Engels of Sportsnet agreed to wet himself on the subject.
