In the last few days, Montreal Canadiens forward Jonathan Drouin has been in the news more often than not.

Every possible expert has given his opinion on the famous situation of his delay at a meeting, and many have solidly called him out publicly.

Yesterday, in his return to action against the Tampa Bay Lightning, Drouin silenced the critics in the best way possible:

A very nice goal, an important goal and ideal in the circumstances.

Drouin had a strong game, and this was the best thing he could have done to redeem himself with the fans and his teammates and coaches.

In a press conference after the game, Jonathan Drouin made a big gesture to show how much he has learned from this story, and it showed a lot of maturity on his part.

He himself decided to bring up the subject again, even though he must be really "tired" of talking about it and hearing about it, but he sent a very nice message:

Jonathan Drouin: "I wanted to have a good game after what happened [Saturday]. Obviously, sitting on the bench watching the game is not fun, but I admit my mistake, it's nobody's fault but mine and I wanted to have a good game tonight..."

He then insisted on answering every possible question on the subject, but clearly it was a done deal. He acted like a true veteran.

A perfect night for Drouin

It was the nicest way to turn the page, and we're really happy for him.

He deserves it and it was the perfect scenario for him last night.

Let's remember that Drouin has a very solid 21 points in his last 25 games (a pace of 70 points per season) He's doing very well!

To see his complete press conference, it's here (Look at his face in the first seconds, it says a lot):
