The Montreal Canadiens are off to a great start this season. A special thanks to the first trio, which has been dominant this season, but also to the atmosphere that reigns within the organization.
The veterans play a key role in this very solid team spirit, but the youngsters also have great personalities that mix well with the others. Of these youngsters, Juraj Slafkovsky in particular has some great answers to offer reporters and it's easy to see why the CH staff made him their first choice.
In an interview with Arpon Basu on Monday, Slaf was asked how much he would like to be when he is 25 years old, as he already weighs 240 lbs at 18. Number 20 immediately responded that he now weighs 230 lbs.
Basu took the opportunity to throw a little joke at Slafkovsky, as his official height, as measured by the team, is one inch smaller than the NHL's and he now weighs 10 lbs less.
"At this rate, you're going to end the season at 5-foot-8 and 170 pounds." - Arpon Basu
Slaf's response was nothing short of magical:
"I'm going to look like Cole!" - Juraj Slafkovsky
We can imagine the laughter the two men must have had as a result of this discussion!
