Last-minute surprise announcement in front of the Montreal Canadiens' net
As you know, the Montreal Canadiens have many goalies in their organization and a plethora of options in front of the net on their chart.
The leaders hope that one of these goalies will be the long-term solution for this young team.
There are obviously the main names, like Jake Allen, Samuel Montembeault, and Cayden Primeau, there are the expected prospects, like Jacob Fowler (whom we often talk about) and Jakub Dobes, but we must not forget the other hidden cards.
It's important to keep an eye on all possible options.
Among these, we find the tall goaltender Joe Vrbetic, whom we got to know during the last two Montreal Canadiens training camps.
Vrbetic, 21 years old, is a 7th round pick of the CH in 2021. He is a very tall goalie at 6 feet 6 inches and he is the number one goalie for the Trois-Rivières Lions.
And he's off to a strong start to the season.
In fact, here's what has just been announced about him.
«Montreal Canadiens prospect Joe Vrbetic is the goalie of the last week in the ECHL.»
Solid! This is promising for the future, as he is only in his second season in the pros.
