Over the last few hours, we've had an announcement involving a goaltender from the organizational chart of the Montreal Canadiens.

Rylan Parenteau leaves the Canadiens system and the Trois-Rivières Lions

This is indeed what has just been announced. We can therefore forget the idea of seeing him with the Laval Rocket or at the next Habs camp.

According to the announcement by coach Ron Choules, the Lions are already parting ways with goaltender Parenteau.

Parenteau, 27, was released after two games with the team, having recorded no victories and posting a save percentage of .865% with a goals-against average of 5.15.

It did not go as planned for the former Vancouver Canucks prospect with the Lions, to say the least.

"Goaltender Rylan Parenteau has been released by the Trois-Rivières Lions." - Trois-Rivières Lions

Considering he had just arrived, yes, it was unexpected for the youngster.

Following this announcement, don't be surprised if goaltender Strauss Mann is sent to the Trois-Rivières Lions by Kent Hughes, which would leave Kasimir Kaskisuo and Jakub Dobes as the main goalies for Jean-François Houle with the Laval Rocket.

Dobes has been on fire for a few weeks now, which is great news.

Story to follow.
