MUST SEE: Emil Heineman makes his presence felt with a solid check on TJ Brodie
The young rookie of the Montreal Canadiens, Emil Heineman, is certainly one of the brightest hopes for the Tricolore's offense, having performed very well with a harvest of 7 goals in 11 games with the Laval Rocket last year.
The 21-year-old forward notably had a golden opportunity to cause a surprise during training camp in order to carve out a spot within Martin St-Louis' lineup. However, the Finn admitted that he was not quite satisfied with his recent performances, wishing to be more aggressive and contribute more offensively.
«I know I have not been up to par. I want to create more on the ice.» - Emil Heineman
One thing is certain, Emil Heineman found a way to make his presence felt tonight, not hesitating to apply solid checks to his opponents. The veteran, TJ Brodie, notably tasted his medicine in the early first period when the young forward overturned him on the ice.
It will be very interesting to see the decision that the management will make regarding Emil Heineman. In our opinion, he deserves his place much more than his counterpart, Joel Armia, who simply shows nothing during the preseason games.
