Major: A new scandal involving the 2003 Canadian Junior Team
The scandal involving ECJ 2018 was heavily discussed throughout the summer, and although we are just a few days from the start of the season, NHL leaders have yet to issue an official verdict on the five players involved in this story.
Additionally, not doing any favors for Hockey Canada's image, TSN journalist Rick Westhead has just confirmed that the Halifax police authorities are currently investigating events that allegedly took place during the World Junior Championship in 2003.
«Halifax Regional Police continue to investigate a scandal that allegedly took place in the city during the 2002-2003 World Junior Championship and would have involved several members of Team Canada," said a police spokesperson.» - Rick Westhead
Again, about six or seven members of the Canadian team are said to be involved in a completely horrifying and simply unacceptable story. Moreover, according to statements collected by Westhead, the police allegedly have damning evidence, as a video was recorded during this utterly disgusting affair.
One thing is certain, this new scandal emerging nearly 20 years after the incident puts a very negative light on Hockey Canada, once again...
