Major Statement: significant combined contracts worth $14 million dollars for Samuel Montembeault and Rafael Harvey-Pinard?

This year, the goalie has been a true revelation throughout the NHL and if he were to have another excellent season in 2023-2024, he could become very attractive on the market as an unrestricted free agent.
Lavoie and Lajoie also discussed the file concerning forward Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, who will be a restricted free agent during the summer. Even though the situation is very different from Montembeault's, the popular host even suggested that the Canadiens offer Harvey-Pinard a 3-year contract for a total of $4.5 million.
Since his recall last January, the forward has been leading rookies in the NHL for the number of goals with 14. Like his teammate, he also represents one of the beautiful stories for the Canadiens in this other difficult season.
Even though these two players have brought many positives to the team during the season, nothing is certain regarding their future with the organization, especially concerning Harvey-Pinard. If Kent Hughes does not want to end up in a possible contractual impasse, he should settle these two issues as quickly as possible.
Regarding Montembeault, a $10 million contract (2.5 million per year for 4 years) had already been proposed.
