Major last-minute announcement regarding Alex Newhook
In the last few hours, we had a major announcement about the Montreal Canadiens' new forward, Alex Newhook.
His number 18 will be retired by his BCHL team, no less!
"We couldn't be prouder to announce that on October 6th, we will etch Alex Newhook forever in Grizzlies' history by officially retiring his jersey #18." - Victoria Grizzlies
Wow! It's indeed extremely rare to see that!
A young player, just 22 years old, already having his jersey retired. This is huge for him!
Newhook racked up 66 points (22 goals) in 45 games in 2017-18 with Victoria, and he added 102 points (38 goals) in 53 games in 2018-19 in the BCHL.
In his last campaign, he also added 11 goals and 24 points in 15 playoff games.
Congratulations to Alex Newhook, it promises to be a memorable night for him!
