Montreal Canadiens signing alert: Kent Hughes announces the signing of a forward and it is the very fiery Michael Pezzetta
After a long period of inactivity, the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, has finally made a move.
He has awarded a two-season contract extension to forward Michael Pezzetta.
This is not necessarily the contract extension all Quebecers are eagerly waiting for (shout out to Cole Caufield), but it is still very good news.
We are very happy for Pezzetta, and it's well deserved!
"The Canadiens agree on the terms of a two-season contract extension (2023-2024 to 2024-2025) with forward Michael Pezzetta."
- Montreal Canadiens
Pezzetta, 25 years old, has accumulated 15 points (7 goals) in 63 games this season with the Canadiens, in addition to 77 penalty minutes.
He was set to become a restricted free agent.
More details to follow.
