Official late-breaking statement from the Montreal Canadiens regarding Alex Newhook
It's always a pleasure to share the content published by the Montreal Canadiens, and in recent weeks, we've had some particularly interesting features to get to know players like Arber Xhekaj, Chris Wideman, Joshua Roy, Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, and many more.
Here's another one!
In the last few minutes, it was Alex Newhook's turn.
Here is the official statement in question:
We learned, among other things, that Newhook visited the Bell Centre on Monday for the first time since his trade.
He mentioned the following:
"Obviously, [it's] a franchise with so much history, and seeing all the history in the dressing room definitely motivates us to get back to that winning culture.
I didn't know the number of jerseys that have been retired here.
I started with 18, which was the number I wore in Colorado, then 19 and 16, which are also retired, so I came across 15. I'm excited to wear it again."
He's really looking forward to starting his journey in Montreal, and you can feel it!
