Yesterday, via its official page, the Montreal Canadiens organization gave us news about the season of its brilliant prospect Joshua Roy.
Expectations are extremely high, but Roy continues to surpass them.
Joshua Roy is on an exceptional streak!
See the publication:
"Our prospect Joshua Roy has 10 points in his last three games!"
- Montreal Canadiens
Roy, 19, now has a very solid 71 points (32 goals) in just 42 games this season in the QMJHL. He has a positive differential of +50.
He also had a solid performance for Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championship - 5 goals and 11 points in 7 games.
Not bad for a 150th overall pick - 5th round of the 2021 NHL draft.
An honor for Joshua Roy!
So the Habs shared the official QMJHL release, to announce that Roy was named "Player of the Week".
See the video and its highlights:
Congratulations to Joshua Roy for being named player of the week!
Roy had 10 points, including six goals in three games last week. (+9 record)
This confirms what we were hoping for. He continues to develop at a rapid pace and it looks promising for next year.
