Senators Affiliate Sends a Clear Threat to Arber Xhekaj Ahead of His First AHL Game
As you probably already know, defenseman Arber Xhekaj will be making his debut with the Laval Rocket tonight, facing the Ottawa Senators' AHL team.
And it's likely to be a rough night for him.
We all know his history with the Sens, especially because of this:
For the past two years, it seems like the Sens have been trying to get back at Xhekaj, notably by dressing all their tough guys against the Canadiens, even in preseason games.
And well, tonight's AHL game will be no exception.
Bokondji Imama will be playing on the Senators' first line tonight alongside Angus Crookshank, the very one who lost an entire hockey season after suffering an injury following a check by Xhekaj at the 2021 rookie camp....» - Anthony Marcotte
Yes, the Sheriff is likely to be targeted and roughed up a lot tonight.
As Marc-Olivier Cook rightly points out, guys will be lining up in the American League to face him, but he's not necessarily obligated to fight every night either.
It's unfortunate, but it's likely to be rough for Xhekaj. Let's just hope he doesn't get injured.
