Following the Montreal Canadiens practice this morning, we learned a lot more about some of the issues.

Having missed his team's entire training camp, Carey Price wasn't feeling great today, so he didn't skate. He is currently recovering from a knee surgery he had during the summer. There is still a small chance that he will start the season, but we will have to be careful. However, even if he were to miss the first few games of the season, he shouldn't miss much time.

As for Mike Hoffman, he should start skating again this week, according to Dominique Ducharme. Remember that the forward had been struggling with a mysterious lower body injury shortly before his arrival in Montreal.

As for Cole Caufield, he is feeling 100%, so we should definitely see him again tomorrow against the Toronto Leafs. He was with Nick Suzuki and Tyler Toffoli at practice this morning.

If it had been up to him, Caufield would have returned to the game long before, but as a precautionary measure, it was better for him to stay away. However, it wasn't up to him, it was up to the doctors responsible for his well-being, as Dominique Ducharme joked.

"I didn't know that Cole had studied medicine in Wisconsin."

Samuel Montembeault got a nice surprise this morning when he was told he would play tomorrow against the Toronto Maple Leafs. A nice sign of confidence from the Montreal organization.

The Quebecer thought he was going to the AHL until Marc Bergevin called him. One thing is for sure, he is very excited about this new challenge, he wants to prove to everyone that he belongs in the NHL.

Ryan Poehling will have another audition, after a rather slow start to training camp. The 22-year-old American will be in the lineup tomorrow against Toronto. He will pilot the third line of Dominique Ducharme's team.
