Surprise return to the game with the Montreal Canadiens: Carey Price has just stated that he remains hopeful
In a press conference earlier today, goaltender Carey Price provided many details about his health and state of mind.
The one who has not yet officially announced his retirement from hockey mentioned that his knee feels much better for his daily activities, but he is far from considering a return to the game for now."
"Carey Price says he feels good on a daily basis, but there are still certain movements that remind him he would be unable to handle the demands of a hockey season."

Price remains hopeful!
He clarifies this:
"I feel like I could go to this Canadiens training camp, be part of the team, and return to play; I feel good. But then I play in a softball tournament and my knee swells for 2 weeks and I tell myself, 'OK, a full NHL season, that's not going to work."
When asked if he's at peace with the fact that his playing days are almost officially over, Carey Price responds:
"Well, very likely - barring a miracle. I'm still under contract and I still hope to be able to play in the NHL again. I remain hopeful, but the odds decrease month by month."

Of course, it's highly unlikely, and as Carey himself says, it would take a miracle, but it's beautiful to see that he remains hopeful.
Price also adds that he's staying in shape, as if he might return to play one day.
