Suspended players related to the Team Canada Junior 2018 scandal: Gary Bettman just broke the silence with a new upsetting statement
In an interview earlier today, the commissioner of the National Hockey League, Gary Bettman, once again made a rather frustrating statement regarding upcoming suspensions related to the Team Canada Junior 2018 scandal.
Here's what Pierre LeBrun reported.
"Bettman had no further update on the 2018 junior Canadian team and the league's investigation. It doesn't seem like an imminent league announcement on this matter."
So the wait continues, on and on.
As you can see in the comments, fans are starting to lose patience, especially knowing that the NHL is allowing these players to start the regular season as if nothing happened.
Let's just say it's not unanimous, but we also understand that things need to be done correctly.
It's hard to understand what's going on behind the scenes, especially since many very reliable sources mentioned that an announcement was very imminent in August and September.
It was then a matter of days.
This summer, we even learned that it would be five players who would be suspended by the NHL, "including big names". One journalist even added that he knew the names of the players who would be targeted, but since then, nothing.
A case to follow, but we clearly have to lower our short-term expectations. It might continue to drag on and on.
Please know that we are really looking forward to giving you more concrete information.
