The Canadiens just announced the replacement for Kirby Dach, and it's another solid acquisition by Kent Hughes
Another acquisition by Kent Hughes will have the chance to shine over the next few weeks.
Following the bad news of the day, with Kirby Dach's long-term injury and his season possibly being over, the Canadiens just announced that it is indeed another player acquired by Hughes who will take over.
Alex Newhook will take Dach's place on the CH's 2nd line.
"Alex Newhook will move to the center of the second line, replacing Dach, according to MSL."
And see his explanations.
Clearly, the one who was acquired by Kent Hughes this summer, from the Colorado Avalanche, will have the chance to take on a very big role with the Habs.
Ironically, he was brought to town to be a kind of "new Kirby Dach". He will now literally take on this role, under very unfortunate circumstances.
