For the end of season team photo day yesterday, the Montreal Canadiens organization wanted to do something different.
Via its official page, the Canadiens published thematic photos, and one of them particularly attracts attention.
A photo with all the players of the team who were born in the 2000s, a photo that perfectly represents the future of the Montreal Canadiens.
We love it!
Jake Allen was very complimentary, in a press conference, about the young players in this picture. He also dropped a nice one:
"It does rejuvenate us this photo. The future is in good hands with these guys."
- Jake Allen
It's good to see Caufield and Xhekaj back in a Habs uniform and on skates, even if it's just for a photo.
As my colleague Vincent Fournier mentions, Cole Caufield is a first line player and with the potential to be one of the best wingers in the world, Kaiden Guhle is probably the best defenseman the Habs have had so far this season, and the trio of Justin Barron, Arber Xhekaj, Jordan Harris is showing some very nice things.
Juraj Slafkovsky is a first overall pick, and Kirby Dach has the potential to be a #1 center.
Let's not forget Nick Suzuki, who was only born in 1999.
The club is on the right track and the rebuild is going very well, as Jake Allen mentioned.
Go kids! Go Habs Go!
