It is this week that the meetings to find the next GM are starting, a step that we all look forward to. We are looking forward to seeing who among the eight or nine candidates will stand out to take the reins of this team that needs reinforcement at several levels.
But Jeff Gorton, the real mastermind of the Montreal Canadiens, will not only meet candidates for the vacant position of general manager (via ZOOM). He will also take the opportunity to meet some prospects and do a little screening south of the border.
It's funny to read Renaud Lavoie's tweet because it's like Gorton hasn't worked since he was hired, and then suddenly he goes into battle. I know that's not the case, but at first glance, it gives that impression.
Get ready, we will know the next GM of the club soon!
