I was analyzing the player statistics and the NHL rankings this morning, drinking my coffee, and then I saw a statistic about the Montreal Canadiens. The Montreal team is the only one without a single player of 20 points.
Even the Sabres, Coyotes and Kraken have one player who has collected 20 or more points: Tage Thompson (Buffalo) has recorded 22 points, Clayton Keller (Arizona) has 23 and Jordan Eberle (Seattle) has 22 so far. In the Sainte-Flanelle, the best pointer in the group is Nick Suzuki with a score of 18 points.
That's a sad statement. Not surprising, but very sad. It shows that the current team has little talent to support an overtaxed Nick Suzuki, who plays a ton of minutes due to the absence of injured or COVID-19 veterans.
In short, the Montreal club is drawing one of the worst seasons in its history, THE worst in the last 50 years It will be forever etched in our memories for a variety of reasons.
