Friday morning, during the optional training of the Habs, we noticed a notable absence. Indeed, the head coach, Martin St-Louis, was not on the ice.

According to Guillaume Lefrançois of La Presse, the reason for this absence is quite simple: the CH's pilot took advantage of the optional practice of his team to watch a very special hockey game. He absolutely wanted to watch the playoff game between Northeastern and Western Michigan played this afternoon.

We remember that one of St-Louis' sons, Ryan, plays for the Northeastern Huskies. We can understand the father wanting to follow this game. We imagine that his boss, Kent Hughes, was also riveted to his screen because his sons, Jack and Ryan, play for the same team as Ryan St-Louis.

The two hockey men will also be keeping an eye on defensemen Jordan Harris and Jayden Struble, who both belong to the Habs.

In the end, Western Michigan won the game on a strange sequence that had to be reviewed. Luke Grainger scored the winning goal.

This means that Harris will be able to sign with the CH right away. It would not be surprising to have an official announcement this weekend.
