A tiny 160-pound forward goes after Arber Xhekaj and he quickly regrets it
Canucks forward Conor Garland showed courage last night against the Montreal Canadiens.
On not one but two occasions, he decided to go after Arber Xhekaj.
"Connor Garland, 5 feet 10 inches and 165 pounds, goes after Arber Xhekaj after the whistle.
I don't know if it's courage or madness." - Anthony Martineau, TVA Sports
Indeed, we are talking about a forward who is 5 feet 10 inches and 165 pounds, versus a defenseman who is 6 feet 4 inches and 240 pounds.
See the two scenes in question:
We are indeed talking about a very unequal duel, and let's commend the fact that Arber Xhekaj reacted appropriately. He wasn't too hard on him, he just prevented him from reaching him, which actually made us laugh.
Garland tried to land punches on Xhekaj, but he was absolutely unable to hit his target because of the Sheriff's reach.
