Luc-Olivier Blain, who was a player for the Rocket de Laval in 2018, has indeed just been hired as an assistant coach for the Lions de Trois-Rivières.
He will be a name to watch in the coming years within the organization's hierarchy.
Blain, 34 years old, was a 6-foot-3, 198-pound forward. He is originally from Longueuil, Quebec, and he recorded four points in 12 games with the Laval Rocket in 2018.
He also played over 150 games in the QMJHL with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens from 2006 to 2009.
See their official announcement.
We also want to welcome him to the big family, as he will be able to contribute to the development of some of the Montreal Canadiens' and Laval Rocket's prospects.
He is still very young, so he could possibly be a prospect (behind the bench) himself, aiming to climb the organization's ranks.
Details to follow.
