The renowned journalist Elliotte Friedman has just announced a new trade that was completed today.

We're talking about a rather significant transaction, made by the Pittsburgh Penguins (yes, them again) with the Nashville Predators.

Cody Glass Traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins

See his post.

And now, I hear that Cody Glass has been traded from Nashville to Pittsburgh.

- Elliotte Friedman

This is the second trade completed today by the general manager of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The action is heating up in the NHL, just before the start of training camps!

Glass, 25 years old, is a 6-foot-3, 206-pound forward drafted 6th overall by the Vegas Golden Knights in 2017 (1st round).

He was their very first draft pick in history.

Glass recorded 13 points in 41 NHL games last season, and 35 points in 72 games the previous season.

Rumor has it that he was the player the Montreal Canadiens initially wanted to acquire from Las Vegas in the Max Pacioretty trade.

Ultimately, the Canadiens obviously got Nick Suzuki, and the rest is history.

Details will follow.

We wish him the best of luck with his new team, because Cody Glass is a great young player and he is talented.

Full return is now revealed
