Big surprise live from Brossard this morning involving Patrik Laine
We just received footage of the first strides on the ice by forward Patrik Laine, live from Brossard, wearing the Montreal Canadiens uniform.
It feels like hockey is back, and we can't wait to see the players in action again, especially Patrik Laine.
He could really be a special player for Martin St-Louis' squad.
We're obviously talking about an informal session here, but still!
Patrik Laine is in Brossard and already in action following his arrival in Montreal
Let's recall that 48 hours ago, the Canadiens officially announced Patrik Laine's arrival in Montreal, along with his partner, and images were published:
The former Columbus Blue Jacket certainly didn't wait too long before hitting the ice, and clearly, he was eager to train with his new teammates, even if it was in an informal setting.
We also remind you that on August 19th, Kent Hughes announced a major trade with the Columbus Blue Jackets, adding Laine and a 2026 second-round pick in exchange for young defenseman Jordan Harris.
Laine, 26 years old, is a 6-foot-5, 215-pound forward and was the 2nd overall pick by the Winnipeg Jets in 2016 (behind a certain Auston Matthews).
He recorded 61 points in his last 73 NHL games.
Great first session, Patty!
