BREAKING: Canadiens players get stuck in the United States after major problem occurred
The Montreal Canadiens team and players were in for an unpleasant surprise last night after their impressive win against the Washington Capitals.
After the 5-2 victory, thanks notably to the great performances by Cole Caufield, Nick Suzuki, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Samuel Montembeault, the players ended up stuck in the United States.
As a result, they were unable to sleep in their own beds due to an unexpected issue.
Here are the details from Renaud Lavoie:
"The Montreal Canadiens stayed in Washington after the game, due to a problem with the plane that was supposed to bring them back to Montreal last night."
- Renaud Lavoie, TVA Sports
So, it was due to an airplane issue that the players remained stuck in Washington. They probably had to "book" hotel rooms at the last minute.
Please note that today's practice might be cancelled for this reason, and the team will only play again on Saturday, against the Dallas Stars anyway.
It's assumed they'll be able to return to Montreal today or tomorrow.
More details to follow.
