Post-career honors are starting for the (unofficially) retired Montreal Canadiens goaltender, Carey Price.
Just like his former captain Shea Weber, who left the organization in June 2022 in a trade to the Vegas Golden Knights, Carey will be honored at home.
The British Columbia Hall of Fame for Carey Price!
The one who hasn't been the goaltender for the CH since the end of the 2021-2022 season, but who is under contract until 2026, will indeed officially be inducted into the British Columbia Hall of Fame this year.
It's confirmed!
Shea Weber and Carey Price will both receive this honor!
"I had the chance to play my entire career in minor and junior hockey in British Columbia, and receiving this call means a lot." - Shea Weber
As for Price, he is a native of Anahim Lake and played his amateur hockey there. He is also very honored:
"I am proud to be from British Columbia and to be admitted to the Hall with a former teammate." - Carey Price
The official ceremony will take place this summer! Congratulations to Carey and Shea!
