For the first time in a long while, Montreal Canadiens fans left the Bell Centre last night with a bitter taste in their mouths.

They blew a 3-0 lead on home ice, conceding seven straight goals to lose against one of their biggest rivals, the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The good news is that the team will have the opportunity to turn things around today, still at home, this time against the New York Rangers.

In fact, the two teams will play a second game within 24 hours.

As Maxime Truman mentions, once again, there will be no morning skate for Martin St-Louis' men today, so we'll have to keep an eye on the Canadiens' page throughout the day to find out about any lineup changes.

However, there is one change that we can likely already confirm.

Change Announced in Canadiens' Net: A Real Opportunity for Jakub Dobes to Seize the No. 1 Spot?

As journalist Stu Cowan mentions, it's no surprise that the Canadiens are expected to make a change in goal today.

«I think it's pretty safe to say we'll see Jakub Dobes in net for the Habs tonight at the Bell Centre against the New York Rangers.»

Of course, it's important to put things into perspective regarding Samuel Montembeault..

Maybe we need to calm down about Montembeault. It's true he had a tough night, but let's not forget all the excellent games he's had this season. Let's take a deep breath, please. It's okay to like both Dobes AND Montembeault.

That said, I must admit that if Jakub Dobes is once again outstanding tonight and secures another win, Martin St-Louis will have some tough decisions to make for the upcoming games.

Stay tuned.
