We have an announcement from the Montreal Canadiens to share with you following yesterday's game vs the Capitals.
As reported by the excellent Maxime Truman, there was an unforeseen issue with the team's plane following the big win against the Washington Capitals, and it has altered today's plans.
Let's remember that Martin St. Louis' squad is back in action tonight at home, live from the Bell Centre, against the Dallas Stars.
Due to their late arrival in town, it's no surprise that the team will not be practicing today.
The Canadiens Announce Today's Plans Following Last Night's Issue in Washington
Here's the confirmation from Max Truman:
«The Canadiens' flight was delayed last night; the team didn't arrive in St-Hubert until 2:15 AM.
No practice is scheduled for today.»
Of course, this type of issue is part of life, but it's becoming a recurring problem for the Canadiens, which is unfortunate because I believe it can genuinely have an impact (sleep, preparation, changes to plans, etc.).
We will monitor this closely for you, but let's note that Samuel Montembeault will be in goal tonight, and we are still waiting for concrete updates on the statuses of Patrik Laine and David Savard.
Despite these minor inconveniences, the Canadiens are playing so well right now that we can certainly believe in another victory tonight against the powerful Dallas Stars.
Details to follow.
