Canadiens Place Rafaël Harvey-Pinard on Waivers and Make Mid-Game Announcement
We have news regarding Montreal Canadiens forward Rafaël Harvey-Pinard.
The organization has just made a disappointing announcement about the forward, who plays with more heart than almost any other player on the Habs roster.
He has officially been placed on NHL waivers.
This puts his dream of continuing his career with the Canadiens on hold.

The Canadiens have placed forward Rafaël Harvey-Pinard on waivers for the purpose of a loan to the Laval Rocket.
The Canadiens inform us that Rafaël Harvey-Pinard has been placed on waivers with the intention of assigning him to the Laval Rocket.
If he goes unclaimed, he will be able to continue his conditioning in the AHL and potentially return to the NHL later.

We'll know in exactly 24 hours, by Sunday at 2:00 PM, whether Harvey-Pinard has been claimed by another NHL team. At this point, I'm almost hoping he is.
I truly believe RHP deserves a spot in the NHL, but there's no denying that the Canadiens are facing a roster crunch, especially with Patrik Laine's imminent return.
Further updates to follow.
Rafaël Harvey-Pinard, 25, is a hardworking forward standing 5 foot 9 and weighing 181 pounds.
The Canadiens' 7th-round pick in 2019 has accumulated 31 points in 83 NHL games, including 17 goals. Notably, he recorded 20 points in 34 games (14 goals) during the 2022-2023 season.
This season with the Laval Rocket, he has registered 1 point (1 goal) in five games.
This is a developing story to watch closely over the next few hours.
