In a nasty scene on Friday, Montreal Canadiens prospect Vincent Arseneau broke his fingers in a fight and in a show of sheer guts, snapped them back into place.

Hockey is a sport known for its rough and tumble atmosphere. Bodies fly every which way, the constant battling in the corners or in front of the net, and often times it gets to a point where it feels like a no holds barred situation where fists are thrown and nasty injuries occur.

So during the Laval Rocket game vs. the Syracuse Crunch, Tampa Bay's AHL affiliate, Montreal Canadiens prospect Vincent Arseneau decided to have himself a fight. The prospect ended up breaking his fingers in the fracas, but his response to it is even crazier than the injury, as Arseneau snapped the fingers back into place:

It was a gruesome scene on both ends of the spectrum. Firstly, it's always dangerous to fight in pro hockey and it's a miracle how enforcers are able to walk away without broken hands or fingers every single time they throw down. On the other hand, it takes a certain type of person to be able to not only withstand the pain of breaking your fingers, but to reset them in real-time. It's a shocking display of bravery from Arseneau, whom the Canadiens signed this offseason.

Arseneau, who was brought to Montreal as part of a contingent of offseason signings, comes into this season as a veteran of the AHL and ECHL, not having played a single game in the NHL up to this point. Undrafted, he's made a career out of minor league hockey, suiting up for seven different AHL teams and is a two-time ECHL Champion with the Allen Americans. The 6'2 winger isn't known for his offensive ability but has been known to score, and is mostly focused on a grittier checking role, and using his fists when necessary.

If there is any more news to come out regarding a potential injury status regarding Vincent Arseneau, we will update you.
