The Montreal Canadiens' Vice President of Hockey Communications, Chantal Machabée, stepped in with young forward Cole Caufield. It was Caufield himself who shared details about the brief meeting he had to improve his interactions with members of the media.

Caufield is known for his smile, contagious good mood, and playful side, and we're seeing more and more of this charming young man that fans love so much.

However, it took a little intervention from none other than Chantal Machabée for Cole Caufield to show his truly endearing personality in front of the camera.

Cole Caufield shares a brief meeting with Chantal Machabée that changed everything

This is yet another great example of the huge impact the Canadiens' Vice President of Hockey Communications has within the organization.

While appearing on the podcast "Dans l'oeil du chat", Caufield himself revealed that Chantal met with him to offer some invaluable advice.

«When you arrive in a league like the NHL, it's very serious and professional. Often, we keep quiet and hide our true personality to ensure we stay professional and don't say anything we shouldn't.

However, when Chantal told me to just be myself, I started having fun with the journalists and showing my true self more often.

Obviously, Montreal is a unique place to play, but it's nice to bring some energy and life into all of it.»

Kudos to our colleagues at Marqueur for this great find.

It's an excellent move by Chantal Machabée, because truly, it's so much better when players have a personality and are themselves in front of the camera.
