Chris Johnston reveals the cost for the Canadiens to re-sign Sean Monahan
Many Canadiens fans have been hoping for Sean Monahan's return for a while, and Kent Hughes has just learned the price to pay.
It's obvious that Montreal will always be a special place for Monahan, who has really been able to revive his career here, especially thanks to Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton.
Now that the CH leaders have clearly stated they want to add a top-6 forward this summer, and with Martin Necas's name constantly coming up in town, why not simply bring back the excellent Monahan?

As for the targeted salary, according to the TSN journalist, Monahan would be asking for a salary of around $5.25 million per year for the next three seasons.
