Recently, Angela shared a story from their early days. After a poor performance by Carey in a game, a coach outright decided to prohibit the goaltender from seeing her, thinking she could be a source of distraction.
This situation forced the couple to see each other discreetly, but Angela believes that it strengthened their relationship. She did not specify which coach made this decision, but it probably happened when Carey was playing junior hockey.
